Deliverables
A Visual Identity Rooted in Community and Nature
Shooting Star Farm, a woman-owned enterprise nestled in the Olympic Peninsula, is more than just a place to grow food—it's a space where community members connect with nature and each other. Through edible plant sales, a CSA work-trade program, community projects, internships, tours, and hands-on workshops, the farm fosters self-reliance and environmental stewardship.
Partnering with Clarity as part of the Olympic Peninsula Small Business BOOST program, Shooting Star Farm sought to elevate its brand identity to reflect its mission and values authentically.
Crafting a Brand That Reflects the Farm's Essence
Drawing inspiration from a hand-painted sign that once adorned the farm—symbolizing the dark night sky when shooting stars were the farm’s only crop—Clarity developed a cohesive brand identity. This included:
Logo Design: A logo that encapsulates the farm's connection to nature and community.
Color Palette: Colors inspired by the natural surroundings and the original hand-painted sign, evoking warmth and authenticity.
Marketing Materials: Graphics for physical posters and digital campaigns, notably for the annual plant sale, to engage the community effectively.
Building a Digital Presence for Growth
To support the farm's expansion and outreach efforts, Clarity designed a multi-page website using Mailchimp. This platform enabled:
Email Marketing: Facilitating regular communication with the farm's community.
E-commerce Capabilities: Allowing for online sales of plants and farm products.
Scheduling Tools: Streamlining the booking of tours, workshops, and CSA pickups.
SEO and UX Strategy: Ensuring the website is accessible, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines.
This comprehensive digital foundation empowers Shooting Star Farm to grow its business while staying true to its roots.
